Artificial Intelligence Lab

Artificial intelligence covers a variety of research areas that deal with the intelligence of machines. In doing so, human actions and challenges are to be imitated and solved by computers, such as decision-making, independent problem-solving, learning, pattern recognition and much more.

Methods from the areas of machine learning and deep learning are used to discover interesting patterns and to train solutions. The required data is prepared in complex data mining processes and incorporated into the learning processes. These created procedures are integrated into existing products, such as the Picasso search, which aims to “find instead of search”. Using intelligent methods, the individually relevant entities are identified and prepared.

Another area is formed by the intelligent agents. They solve tasks for the customer independently and facilitate their daily work. Decision proposals or automated decisions are based on data that a single person can no longer understand due to the enormous amount of info and the high degree of linkage. In addition, they find important connections in highly complex systems.

The research area AI explores intelligent assistants for all CAS products. Heuristic, rule-based and thus relatively static wizards are enriched or replaced by intelligent, self-learning and thus highly dynamic wizards, providing up-to-the-minute support for users and customers.
